London Drugs Christmas Catalogue

We proposed department title pages to bring the festive feeling of the season to this retail catalogue. I was briefed on product depiction requirements, and was responsible for cover concept ideas, department design, comps (my sketches) approvals, briefing photographers on approved pages and attending shoots. The title pages were shot in a Vancouver studio, and simultaneously, individual products were shot in a Richmond warehouse. Studio photography followed my comps very closely to maintain client approval. For product photography, I established styling by department. Once we had client approval, photographers were able to carry on, production-line style, following my initial client-approved art direction. Art direction followed through into post production; colour correction, print production and printing.
