TEXT(URE)

Worked with GO Collaborative, a Texas-based design and planning firm, on FIELDSTATION, a series of community art making events for the Tuscany LRT Station Community Development Public Art Project. I designed and facilitated a workshop called TEXT(URE), where youth groups aged 9 to 13 "texted" their neighbours, and "posted" images using only natural materials found in the wooded areas of Tuscany and Royal Oak / Rocky Ridge. For the final community event, I designed, built and installed a geo-dome type structure made from branches. Participants were invited inside to view projections of the images created during the workshops. They were also invited to create new artworks on a pathway extending from the "geodome."
